IMAGING: EVENT PHOTOGRAPHY
Graduates of our Support course are welcome to work alongside professional photographers at events to capture images of other Veterans. This mentorship fosters their competence and mastery, while providing them with an opportunity to participate in activities focused on Veterans’ health and healing. Photographs from these events advance a positive image of our country’s Veterans and promote an improved quality of life.
PHOTOGRAPH OTHER VETERANS
Your experience as a Veteran gives you a different focus as a photographer. Behind the lens, you can see fellow Veterans in a different light and use that insight to create photographs with impact. As your subjects view those photographs, you help them see themselves in new ways — enjoying activities, engaging with other Veterans and succeeding at new endeavors. These positive images promote their confidence and well-being, as well as yours.
Training classes cover a wide range of subjects including the use of photography for self-expression and artistry. Once you’ve mastered the basics, you’ll have an enduring tool for engaging with your family and friends and documenting your thoughts and passions. From there, you can decide how you want to apply what you’ve learned. After completing the Support course, Veterans are invited to join the fleet of Task Force: ISO photographers who use their skills to capture positive images of fellow veterans.
Task Force: ISO engages and inspires Veterans through photography. Veterans gain purpose through activity and self-discovery and build community through continued mentorship and support.
