Dr. Janelle Hyde, Board Member & Therapy Advisor
Dr. Thompson is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and has a Psy.D. from La Salle University, with a concentration in Health Psychology. Amongst her myriad training and professional experiences, she has trained within the Veterans Health Administration, MD Anderson Cancer Center, and Drexel University’s College of Medicine. Dr. Thompson’s clinical interests involve working with veterans and service members of the United States Armed Forces, as well as their families. She has a strong interest in behavioral medicine issues affecting military members and veterans, such as eating/weight-related disorders, management of chronic illness, and adjustment to acquired medical conditions. In addition to sitting on the Task Force: ISO’s Board of Directors, Dr. Thompson owns Trailhead Behavioral Medicine, PLLC, a private practice specializing in understanding and managing the stress and challenges that can often accompany receiving newly acquired medical diagnoses and coping with chronic illness. Further, as Dr. Thompson highly values education, she serves as a clinical supervisor to graduate students at the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Thompson works full-time as a psychologist in long-term care and rehabilitation settings.
